    Welcome

I am an Assistant Research Professor at the Maryland Language Science Center, University of Maryland and the head of the Field Station Guatemala of the University of Maryland.

My current research focuses on the documentation of: Mayan language acquisition (Q’anjob’al, Mam, Ch’ol, and Chuj), Mayan languages in contact (K’iche’ and Awakteko), and experimental work on the acquisition of causatives in K’iche’. My work on Q’anjob’al and Chuj evaluates the development of the verb morphology.
